JOB SUMMARY:
The CPS Turnaround team is a cross discipline group of internal and external experts who work collaboratively to develop and execute Pre-K – 12
strategies to transform lower performing schools into higher performing schools without moving students. The Content Coach and Interventionist works directly with other in-school coaches to support differentiated instructional strategies, specifically around coaching activities represented in the district coaching framework, ensuring that all activities align to targeted outcomes and student achievement. To this end, the content coach and interventionist works with school leadership, classroom teachers and students to ensure proper implementation of differentiated supports, classroom support, provide intensive intervention, and integrate CPS priorities to increase student achievement by decreasing the number of students identified as intensive based on specific assessment measures.

The Content Coach and Interventionist reports directly to the Elementary Turnaround Officer.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The school based Coach and Interventionist supports instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
The Chicago Public Schools’ Coaching Model will define the work of the Coach and Interventionist). Responsibilities include:
